I am a CFP® and CLU, with a double major in Finance and Spanish and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. I am based in Brasília, Brazil.

My path here was not purely professional. My wife is Brazilian, and after years in Denver and Huntsville, we moved our family to Brasília so our children could grow up close to her side of the family and learn Portuguese while they are young. Living here has given me a firsthand understanding of what Brazilian-American families actually navigate, not just the cultural adjustment, but the financial complexity of building a life across two systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

I work with Brazilian-American families, U.S. expats living in or moving to Brazil, retirees, and those nearing retirement who want a real plan rather than a product illustration. The American and Brazilian retirement systems differ significantly in account types and investment options, and that gap is often where cross-border families get stuck.

I started Planalto Financial to help families like my own: Brazilian-American households managing assets, retirement accounts, and relationships across two countries. I chose to work on a flat-fee and hourly basis because I believe clients deserve transparent, straightforward pricing rather than a model built around commissions or product sales.

The firm is registered as an investment adviser in the state of Alabama.
