I am a CPA based in Minnesota. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Augsburg University.

I handle all types of U.S. tax returns, but my deep focus is cross-border and expat tax. I help U.S. citizens and residents navigate the complexity of living, working, or earning income across multiple countries. I know the forms, the treaties, and the traps.

As a solo practitioner, clients work directly with me from start to finish. There is no handoff to a staff preparer. Every client receives the same focused expertise regardless of the size of their return.

I founded Egan Tax after spending years managing the international tax practice at a top local CPA firm. I loved the work but wanted to build something where complex cross-border clients received truly personalized attention at every level. That is what Egan Tax delivers.

Outside the Office

I try to stay active, though my kids make sure I never actually rest. When they let me escape, you will find me on the shores of Lake Superior.
